Tiny’s journey takes a mysterious turn when Roland enlists Kano, a bounty hunter, to help him find the escaped pup. It turns out Kano has a "bone to pick" with Charlie. Tiny and Charlie reach New Orleans, where they meet Big Ears, a soulful jazz-singing hound. Big Ears teaches Tiny to sing from her soul. We discover that Charlie was once a singer. Meanwhile, Roland and Kano are hot on their tails. At Big Ears' dock house, he reveals to Charlie that his true love, Emily-Rose, is sick. Tiny and Charlie narrowly escape capture and continue their journey to Nashville to find Emily-Rose.
